Optical nTAPs
Use optical nTAPs to send identical copies of critical traffic to network analyzers, remote monitoring appliances, forensics tools, and similar devices capable of supporting dual, non-aggregated data streams.
Optical nTAP
Key features of the Optical TAP include:
♦No AC power required
♦Passive access without packet tampering or introducing a single point of failure
♦All traffic (including errors) is passed from all OSI layers for analyzing
♦Enhanced security because the nTAP does not require or use an IP address, making it undetectable compared to a SPAN
♦Allows you to connect and disconnect the analysis device as needed without taking the network down
♦Fully IEEE 802.3 compliant
♦Fully RoHS compliant
♦Front-mounted connectors make installation simple
♦Optional 19-inch 1U rack mount panel holds up to three nTAP
40 Gb Multimode Optical TAP
Key features of the 40 Gb Multimode Optical TAP include:
♦No AC power required
♦Passive access without packet tampering or introducing a single point of failure
♦All traffic (including errors) is passed from all OSI layers for analyzing
♦Enhanced security because the nTAP does not require or use an IP address, making it undetectable compared to a SPAN
♦Allows you to connect and disconnect the analysis device as needed without taking the network down
♦Fully IEEE 802.3 compliant
♦Fully RoHS compliant
♦Front-mounted connectors make installation simple
♦Optional 19-inch 1U rack mount panel holds up to three nTAPs
High Density Optical TAP
Key features of the High Density Optical TAP include:
♦No AC power required
♦Passive access without packet tampering or introducing a single point of failure
♦All traffic (including errors) is passed from all OSI layers for analyzing
♦Enhanced security because the nTAP does not require or use an IP address, making it undetectable compared to a SPAN
♦Allows you to connect and disconnect the analysis device as needed without taking the network down
♦Fully IEEE 802.3 compliant
♦Fully RoHS compliant
♦Rear-mounted magnet simplifies installation into the chassis
♦Optional 19-inch 1U chassis holds up to 24 nTAP modules
●The chassis is a container to hold any mixture of TAP modules you wish. A magnet at the back of the chassis holds each TAP in place.
●Each TAP is wholly self-contained and has nothing to do with its neighbor.
●You may mix-and-match any speeds you wish. For example, 12 1 Gb TAPs, 7 10 Gb TAPs, and 5 40 Gb TAPs.
