I cannot create a data source. Why not?
Apex Lite cannot create data sources. Only a fully licensed Apex has that capability. For other differences, see Apex vs. Apex Lite.
 
 
What version of Apex is in use?
The version number (for instance, 17.0.12.2) is available on the login screen below the login fields. If you are logged in you must log out to see your Apex version.
Why is my dashboard blank?
Dashboards may appear empty or blank for a number of reasons. Use these tips to resolve the issue.
1. Check the time period. Are you using a time frame in which there is data?
2. Ensure you have data and network trending turned on in Observer. Is Observer collecting trending data?
3. Ensure your data source is correctly defined. Did anything change with your data source?
4. Verify you are using the correct credentials. Has your security changed in any way?
5. Confirm the business group is the one you expect and it is correctly defined.
 
 
How do time zones affect Apex?
Unless a Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) is clearly shown, all displayed and selectable times in the Apex web interface use the time zone of the logged-on user’s system. For example, logging in to Apex with a laptop means the Apex user interface uses the time zone of that laptop.
Consider this scenario: If you log on to Apex using a computer located in Central Time, and a network event is occurring that same moment in Pacific Time, you could choose This Hour for your dashboard time (reporting period) in Apex on your Central Time computer to see what is occurring right now in Pacific Time. The web interface performs all of the time zone conversions for you. Similarly, having the Apex server located in a different time zone than the users logging on to it should not cause any issues.
