Wireless Probe Request Rate
The rate of Probe Request packets exceeds the value set in Expert Thresholds.
Stations use probe requests to find an AP through which to join a wireless network. A probe request can directed to a particular SSID, or broadcast to any SSID within range. An excessive number of these can indicate problems.
Possible reasons for the event:
A user or user has a misconfigured wireless station, causing repeated probe requests that are being denied.
Stations from an outside wireless network are sending the probe requests.
A malicious intruder is probing your network for weaknesses (disabled WEP, obvious SSIDs, etc.).
