Wireless Excessive CRC PLCP Errors
The number of short physical layer convergence protocol/cyclical redundancy check errors exceeded the critical threshold set in Expert Thresholds. The PLCP header defines the data frame for a wireless transmission. A short PLCP indicates that the packet was discarded because the PLCP header was truncated.
Possible reasons for this event:
packet collision (i.e., two stations trying to transmit simultaneously on the same channel).
RF interference or weakened signal during transmission. Although the transmitting station tests signal strength and quality before transmitting, while the transmission is actually occurring a rapid decline in either of these can cause the packet to become corrupted and discarded.
