VoIP Active R-Factor
The R-Factor, an overall measurement of estimated voice quality calculated using the E-model, has exceeded, or more likely, fallen below threshold. Some possible reasons for this event are:
♦Network congestion is causing delay, jitter, and resulting in packet loss and hence poor voice quality.
♦Link failure is causing packet loss and resulting in poor voice quality.
♦Route flapping is causing jitter and resulting in packet loss and poor voice quality.
♦Ethernet problems along the voice path (such as bad cables or interfaces) are causing packet loss and poor voice quality.
