Maximum Utilization Exceeded
The event is triggered when the maximum utilization exceeds the value set under "High Peak Utilization" as a percentage of total theoretical utilization (i.e. the network speed).
This may or may not indicate a network problem. It may be a simple case of normal (but high) network utilization. If your response times are lower than expected, and a high utilization rate is discovered, try and determine the source of the high network load, and try and determine if this makes sense.
Possible reasons for the event:
A station is resending error packets, or is stuck in a continuous loop of sending
A router or bridge is incorrectly sending data repetitively
Too many stations are located on one collision domain
A station or group of stations are transferring a large amount of data
