ICMP Address Mask Reply
This event is triggered when a router or gateway replies to an ICMP Address Mask Request.
Depending on your network hardware, software, and configuration of either, ICMP Address Mask Reply messages may be prohibited from being transmitted and/or the incoming Requests may be ignored or disallowed. VIAVI recommends you review the documentation provided by your other vendors (such as your operating system manufacturer) in order to see if such policies exist on your network. Doing so will help you determine what is normal behavior for your network regarding any observed ICMP Address Mask Reply events.
